With its traditions and hospitality Hotel Croix d`Or et Poste has been a gastronomical meeting place, since 1620. The hystorical 3*** house has 38 beds, 21 rooms all with bath or shower, WC, hairdryer, radio, TV and direct dial telephone.

The rooms are also dignified; the cosy restaurant seats 50 people, plus the Goethe Stube with 16 seats, ideal for smaller events. Weddings, banquets, conferences and larger festivities take place in the large hall (60 people). In fine weather, our hotel offers 70 seats on the sunny terrace.

The pleasant setting of the hotel can be easily combined with business meetings and conferences. The two salons are the right place for this. Enjoy peace and seclusion from your everyday life in our traditional house.

History

Already around 1530 the Valais humanist Thomas Platter was catered to at the “Upper Inn” also known today as the Hotel Croix d`Or et Poste . The buildings were owned by the noble family ” Von Riedmatten “, whose family members were famous in the church and politics.
