The church, built between the 12 th and 13 th century, is 12. the pride of Munster. The late gothic alter is dated back to 1590 and is one of the most beautiful alters located in Switzerland.

For centuries travellers stayed in Munster either before ascending the alpine passes or after finishing their tiresome journey. During this time the mail was transported by coaches, Munster was the resting place for the horses.
